RT Journal Article T1 Estudio paleontológico preliminar del Tortoniense superior de «Las Pajanosas» (Sevilla, Cuenca del Guadalquivir) T1 Preliminar paleontologic study from upper Tortonian deposits of «Las Pajanosas» (Sevilla, Guadalquivir Basin) A1 Rico García, Alberto A1 Cárdenas Carretero, Joaquín A1 González Delgado, José Ángel A1 Civis-Llovera, Jorge AB The paleontological record of a set of upper Tortonian outcrops nearby Las Pajanosas, north of Seville, hasbeen studied. The most complete series of 15 metres of thickness, unconformed over upper Devonianmetamorphic rocks, is divided in two sedimentary parts. 60 macrofaunal species have been identified.Bivalves group is the most abundant with 37 species, specially pectinids with 14 species. This outcroppresents the most diversity of pectinids in the Tortonian sections of the Guadalquivir Basin. The fossilcontent, distribution, taphonomy signature and sedimentological context, suggest a transgressive processover the paleorelief, with progressive deepening of the paleoenvironments in a global eustatic rising setting PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 2005 FD 2005 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8660 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8660 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
