AB Based on the study of the peat-b o g PM VII, located in the Puerto de Morcuera, both the vegetation dynamics and the anthropic influence in the last 1.000 years have been elucidated. Near 640± 50 BP (UCRA-362) this area was dominated by a dense forest of Quercus c „ altogether with regional forest of Pinus and Betula. Later on these forest becam e less dense as a consequence of an intense anthropic activity
