AB This note is aimed to remember our friend and colleague Florentino Díaz García, died last august inOviedo, the city where he obtained his grade in Geology and his PhD, and in whose University taughtduring twenty six years. We worked with him in several research projects funded by the Spanish governmentand devoted to the study of the Galician allochthonous complexes. In these few words dedicated to hismemory, Florentino’s scientific trajectory is sketched together with his friendly and cheerful character
