AB La tradición literaria sobre la RomaArcaica se elaboró en torno a dos corrienteshistoriográficas, una que tomaba comoargumento el relato griego, en el que elLacio fue punto de llegada de sucesivasexpediciones coloniales griegas, desdetiempos anteriores a Troya, y otra, enque sin despreciar esta visión mítica, lacomplementaba con la llegada continua degentes ajena a los héroes, de la extracciónmás baja y común, que armonizaba con elsentimiento de identidad de los romanoscomo pueblo. A partir de ahí, la historiografíaaugústea maneja el pasado remoto y lostiempos contemporáneos, reconstruyendoaquel con episodios novelescos, reliquiasde anticuarios, etiologías, mitos y sucesoscontemporáneos, que luego utiliza comomodelos éticos y paradigmas, al servicio dela retórica, para los romanos de su propiotiempo
AB The literary tradition about ArchaicRome is weaved from two historiographicmodels, one of which is used as argument thegreek report, what relates that Latium werean arrival point of greek colonial consecutiveexpeditions, since the time before of fall ofTroia, and another one which is respectfulwith the former, but adds to the myth andheroes, the constant arrival of peoples of thelowest and humblest origins, what is agreedwith identity feelings of the majority of theromans, as a nation. From there onward,the historiography of Augustus epoch workwith the primitive and contemporaneoustimes reconstructing the first ones, withromantic episodes, remains of antiquities,aethiologies, myths and events of thepresent, that later the historians are using asethic models and paradigms, in benefit ofthe rethoric, for the romans of his very time
