T1 Theranostic: a new tecnique againts cancer

AB Theranostic, has positioned itself as apromising technique to fight cancer,especially when using radioactive isotopes,where it has demonstrated good efficiency in humancancer treatment and in the animal phase study. Thetechnique basically consists in using a chemicalelement with several radioactive isotopes. Onediagnostic (gamma or β+ emitter) and another isotopeof the same therapeutic element (alpha, β+, β- orAuger electrons). These isotopes must be linked to avector molecule expressed by the tumor cells of thecorresponding type of cancer. Radioisotopes can alsobe encapsulated in nanoparticles.
