RT Journal Article T1 Evaluación del grado de diagénesis en huesos fósiles mediante espectroscopía de infrarrojos T1 Evaluation of the degree of diagenesis in fossil bones by infrared spectroscopy A1 Castaños, Jone A1 Murelaga, Xabier A1 Castellanos, Idoia A1 Alonso Olazabal, Ainhoa A1 Zuluaga, María Cruz A1 Ortega, Luis Ángel AB In this paper the fossil bone conservation and the diagenetic changes are studied by infraredspectroscopy (FTIR). Several parameters that describe crystallographic and chemical composition of thebone are used. The possible differences in the behavior of the bones to the diagenesis having its origin inthe age of the animal or its taxonomy (red deer, bison, reindeer, wildpig) are discussed. Some samples haveincorporated in its structure secondary phases (calcite) that may be removed by rinsing acid but not in allthe cases. It notes that some diagenetic parameters values vary with the age of the individual but not withtaxonomic differences. Most of the changes are related to the loss of collagen PB Universidad de Huelva YR 2010 FD 2010 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7468 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7468 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 13 jul 2026
