AB The levels of black slates that appear through the whole series of volcanic materials, have been revealed as a high-priority objective when carrying out studies detailed in the IPB, since they are constituted as a good paleontological resource for the dating of the volcanic materials in this area, besides a good tool when establishing a correlation and precise biostratigraphy of the whole IPB. The sequence basic litostratigraphyc, inside the Ribera of Jarama, they provide a continuous series, that which has allowed us to date with certainty the duration of the volcanic activity inside this area
