RT Journal Article T1 Geometría y distribución espacial de la transmisividad en el Acuífero Mioceno del Sistema Mancha Oriental (Cuenca del Júcar) T1 Geometry and spatial distribution of the transmissivity in the Miocene Aquifer of the Mancha Oriental System(Jucar River Basin) A1 Sanz Mangas, David A1 Castaño Fernández, Santiago A1 Gómez Alday, Juan José A1 Martínez Alfaro, P.E. AB The hydrogeologic unit UH2 (Miocene Aquifer) supports a great amount groundwater abstractions and itis hydraulically connected to the Jucar river. Water withdrawal for irrigation purposes has driven to aregional groundwater level lowering which affects not only the river-aquifer system but probably theevolution and the status of the river ecosystems as well. Transmissivity is one of the main factors thatcontrol the interactions between groundwater and surface water bodies. In this work, the spatial distributionof transmissivity is analysed by means the use of geostatistical and GIS tools. This hydraulic parameter isstudied in combination with the spatial variation of the saturated aquifer thickness. A non-linear relationshipis found between transmissivity and saturated thickness as conconsequence of differences in the developmentof karstification in the UH2 YR 2007 FD 2007 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8362 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8362 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 13 jul 2026
