AB Muhammad Abid al-Yabri ha sido uno de los pensadores contemporáneosmás importantes del mundo árabe e islámico. En su ingenteobra, destaca la intención de renovar el pensamiento árabe con la finalidadde conseguir su modernización. Con tal fin, defendió el uso de la razón críticay la tradición como la mejor vía metodológica para el despertar (Nahda)del mundo islámico. Su proyecto se concreta en la defensa de la democraciacomo el modelo político más idóneo para los pueblos islámicos y lasnaciones árabes.
AB Muhammad Abid al-Jabri has been one of the most importantcontemporary thinkers of the Arab and Islamic world. In his enormouswork, emphasizes the intention to renew Arab thought in order to achieveits modernization. For this purpose, Al-Jabri defended the use of criticalreason and tradition as the best methodological route to the awakening(Nahda) of the Islamic world. Her project focuses on the defense of democracyas the most appropriate political model for Islamic peoples andArab nations.
