T1 El diario y la formación de un ciudadano democrático

AB El diario, junto a la escuela, puede sin duda participar activamente en la formación cívica de los alumnos para tender puentes hacia ciudadanos con mayor conciencia democrática, mejor informados, más sensibles y más participativos. Éste es el desafío que los medios de comunicación y la institución escolar tienen hoy, según las conclusiones a las que llega una reciente investigación desarrollada en Argentina por la Asociación «El diario en la escuela» y que ha abarcado a más de cuatro mil alumnos de once y doce años de catorce provincias de este país hispanoamericano, además de la capital, Buenos Aires.
AB The journal, together with school, can, without doubt, actively participate in students’ recreational training to create bridges towards best informed, most sensible and participative citizens with the biggest democratic consciousness. This is the challenge that media and the educational institution have today, according to the conclusions of the recent investigation carried out in Argentina by the association “The Journal in School”, which covered more than four thousand eleven and twelve years old students from fourteen provinces of this Hispano American country, in addition to the capital city of Buenos Aires.
