AB El presente trabajo lleva a cabo un análisis prospectivo de lainstitución universitaria en relación a tres elementos fundamentales(tecnología, incertidumbre y competencias), los cuales dibujan unhorizonte para el aprendizaje en este nivel terciario, en el marcocomplejo de la pandemia por COVID-19. La reflexión comienza conla pregunta de si, en la situación de pandemia actual, lo que está enjuego es la civilización occidental. Pese a que la respuesta puede serpositiva o negativa, lo que sí parece claro es que en los próximos añosla sociedad y las instituciones humanas que forman la misma esprobable que inicien una revisión sobre sus presupuestos y forma deproceder. Esta revisión se viene considerando desde, por lo menos,mitad del siglo pasado. En concreto, la institución universitaria,que se ha visto impactada fuertemente por la pandemia, tendráque tomar decisiones sobre su naturaleza y condición. El escenariopostpandémico estará enmarcado por un desarrollo tecnológicosin precedentes, una incertidumbre galopante y la enseñanzaaprendizajede competencias, tal vez de una manera diferente acómo se aborda esta cuestión hoy. Es ahí donde cabe preguntarsepor el futuro de la universidad.
AB This work carries out a prospective analysis of the universityinstitution in relation to three fundamental elements (technology,uncertainty and competences), which draw a horizon for learningat this tertiary level, in the complex framework of the COVID-19pandemic 19. The reflection begins with the question of whether, in thecurrent pandemic situation, what is at stake is Western civilization.Although the answer may be positive or negative, what does seemclear is that in the coming years society and the human institutionsthat comprise it are likely to initiate a review of their budgets andhow to proceed. This revision has been under consideration since atleast half of the last century. Specifically, the university institution,which has been strongly impacted by the pandemic, will have tomake decisions about its nature and condition. The post-pandemic scenario will be framed by unprecedented technological development, rampant uncertainty and theteaching-learning of skills, perhaps in a different way than how this issue is approached today. Thisis where it wisorth asking about the future of the university.
