AB The author proposes that, when the year 14A.D. the Senate of Rome decreed the apotheosisin honor of Augustus and consequently the birthof the imperial cult, in Hispanic provinces haddeveloped a real personality cult of the livingprinceps, who was not born spontaneously, but bythe initiative of Rome, according to the testimonyof various epigraphic monuments and literarydocuments.
