AB A first approach to the palaeoenvironmental significance of the Valsalada (Central Ebro basin) alluvialrecord, Upper Pleistocene-Holocene in age, is presented starting from geomorhological, sedimentologicaland radiocarbon data. This morphosedimentary sequence is made up by three evolutionary phases: 1)lacustrine stage (37,050±50 BP) under cool and humid conditions, 2) alluvial stage (from 10,550±80 BPto 3,225±50 BP) related to cold and wet climate and 3) colluvial fans stage (1,640±50 BP) during aridclimate with human action influence. The Valsalada alluvial system shows a singular morphosedimentaryevolution strongly influenced by climatic changes bearing variations in water dischar ges and hydrologicalavailability in surrounding saline wetlands YR 2006 FD 2006 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8481 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8481 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
