AB Federico García Lorca tiene una posiciónexcepcional en Hungría ya que es elúnico entre los autores de lengua hispanacuya toda su obra fue traducida al húngaro,así nuestros lectores pueden conocer bastantebien tanto la poesía como el teatrodel artista granadino. La primera preguntade todas las investigaciones de recepciónliteraria cuando se trata de un escritor extranjeroes cómo llegó la fama del artistaa la cultura acogedora y de qué manera leconoció el público receptor. El presente artículoquisiera responder a esta pregunta,resumiendo, por un lado, la situación actualde la recepción de la obra de FedericoGarcía Lorca en Hungría y, por otro lado,destacando las tres diferentes traduccionesdel famoso Romancero gitano.
AB Federico García Lorca has a special situationin Hungary, as he belongs to those fewSpanish-speaking authors, whose plays andentire life work can be read in Hungarian,therefore his poems and plays are wellknownfor the Hungarian audience.The first question we have to pose whenstudying the reception of a foreign authoris how the fame of the examined artisthas spread to the selected host countryand which way the given audience hasgot to know him. The present study seeksto answer this question, summarizingGarcia Lorcas’s reception in Hungary andhighlighting the three different translationsof his famous Gypsy Ballads.
