RT Journal Article T1 Risk Factors for Working Pregnant Women and Potential Adverse Consequences of Exposure: A Systematic Review A1 Corchero Falcón, María del Rocío A1 Gómez Salgado, Juan A1 García Iglesias, Juan Jesús A1 Camacho Vega, Juan Carlos A1 Fagundo Rivera, Javier A1 Carrasco González, Ana María AB Objective: To assess the risk factors perceived as stressors by pregnant women in thework environment and the possible adverse consequences of such exposure for thenormal development of pregnancy. Methods: Systematic review, guided by the PRISMA guidelines, and using Pubmed,Web of Science, Dialnet, SciELO, and REDIB databases. Methodological quality wasassessed using the critical appraisal tools for non-randomised studies of the JoannaBriggs Institute. Results: A total of 38 studies were included. The main risk factors found in the workenvironment of pregnant women were chemical, psychosocial, physical-ergonomicmechanicalfactors, and other work-related factors. The main adverse consequencesof exposure to these factors include low birth weight, preterm birth, miscarriage, hypertension and pre-eclampsia, as well as various obstetric complications. Conclusion: During pregnancy, working conditions that are considered acceptable innormal situations may not be so during this stage due to the major changes that occurduring pregnancy. Many obstetric effects may have an important impact in the mother’spsychological status; therefore, it is important to optimise working conditions during thisstage and to reduce or eliminate possible risks PB Frontiers Media SN 1661-8556 SN 1661-8564 (electrónico) YR 2023 FD 2023-02 LK https://hdl.handle.net/10272/22224 UL https://hdl.handle.net/10272/22224 LA eng NO Corchero-Falcón, M. del R., Gómez-Salgado, J., García-Iglesias, J.
