AB Colombia es un país bioceánico y biodiverso que posee una posición geoestratégica privilegiada, esta condición le permite potencializar su desarrollo marítimo, pero también la hace vulnerable a diferentes riesgos y amenazas, que le exige tener una estructura de fuerza con las capacidades adecuadas para alcanzar los objetivos políticos, enfrentar las amenazas presentes y futuras, en un marco de recursos económicos limitados y le permita proteger la soberanía y garantizar la Defensa y Seguridad del Estado. Mediante la revisión de conceptos de Defensa y Seguridad, el Modelo de Planeamiento por Capacidades, el alistamiento operacional y los nuevos escenarios para la Fuerza Pública, se pretende identificar algunos mecanismos que permitan alcanzar las capacidades requeridas por la Armada de Colombia, con el propósito de cumplir la misión institucional y lograr una disuasión efectiva para la Defensa Nacional al 2042.
AB Colombia is a bioceanic and biodiverse country with a privileged geostrategic position, this condition allows it to potentiate its maritime development, but also makes it vulnerable to different risks and threats, which requires it to have a force structure with adequate capabilities to achieve political objectives, face present and future threats, within a framework of limited economic resources and allow it to protect the sovereignty and guarantee the Defense and Security of the State. Through the review of Defense and Security concepts, the Capabilities Planning Model, the operational readiness and the new scenarios for the Public Force, it is intended to identify some mechanisms to achieve the capabilities required by the Colombian Navy, in order to fulfill the institutional mission and achieve an effective deterrence for the National Defense by 2042.
