AB En el presente trabajo se analizan los orígenes y la evolución histórica, arquitectónicay patrimonial de la ermita de San Sebastiánde Moguer. Nos encontramos ante uno de losejemplares más antiguos de Andalucía, construido por el vínculo de la localidad con el comercioamericano y para el culto de la imagen de SanSebastián, tan extendido en las provincias deHuelva y Sevilla durante los siglos posteriores.Su estudio nos permite comprender los cambios políticos, económicos y sociales de Moguersuscitados por los diferentes acontecimientosque se dieron lugar en este municipio: vinculación americana, terremoto de Lisboa, invasiónfrancesa, Guerra Civil, etc. Del mismo modo,la evolución de los orígenes taumatúrgicos de laedificación a las reformas, adaptaciones, conservación y mantenimiento de la fábrica a partir delsiglo XVII con el apego del moguereño a la religiosidad popular: la imagen de Jesús Nazareno
AB This paper analyzes the origins and historical, architectural and heritage evolution of thehermitage of San Sebastián (Moguer). We arefacing one of the oldest specimens of Andalusia,built due to the links of the town with the American commerce and for the cult of the image ofSan Sebastián that is widespread in the provinces of Huelva and Seville during the followingcenturies. The study allows us to understandthe political, economic and social changes ofMoguer, originated by the different events thattook place in this municipality: American bonding, Lisbon earthquake, French invasion, CivilWar, etc. In the same way, the evolution of thethaumaturgical origins of the building to thereforms, adaptations, conservation and maintenance of the factory from the 17th centuryonwards with the attachment of the society topopular religiosity: the image of Jesus Nazarene
