T1 Prácticas endogámicas en la Costa Onubense. Matrimonio y consanguinidad en Ayamonte en el siglo xviii

AB El objetivo principal consiste en analizar losenlaces matrimoniales contraídos entre individuos que poseen algún vínculo de parentescoentre ellos, concretamente el de consanguinidad.Analizaremos el porqué de estos enlaces endogámicos y la posición de la Iglesia ante este tipode uniones. Las fuentes utilizadas son el ArchivoDiocesano y los expedientes del Libro de matrimonios, por lo tanto, se trata de una metodología de tipo histórica, basada en la investigaciónarchivística. La endogamia matrimonial contribuía a configurar grupos de parentesco bastantedensos, en los que los parientes de una familiaeran generalmente parientes entre sí, hallándoseligados muchas veces por parentescos múltiples.La prohibición de estos enlaces matrimonialesentre consanguíneos por la Iglesia se basó en tresargumentos: una razón eugenesica, la difusiónde la caridad y la protección de la familia. Enlíneas generales, los datos obtenidos indican quela endogamia familiar en Ayamonte no fue unapráctica muy arraigada pero sí una costumbrepracticada por una parte de su sociedad
AB The main objective is to analyze the maritalbonds contracted between individuals who havea relationship between them, specifically that ofconsanguinity. We will analyze the reason theseinbreeding links and the position of the Churchin this kind of unions. The sources used are theDiocesan Archive and the files of the Book ofMarriages, therefore, it is a historical methodology, based on archival research. Marriage inbreeding helped to set up fairly dense kinshipgroups, in which the relatives of a family weregenerally relatives to each other, being oftenlinked by multiple kinships. The prohibitionof these marital links between consanguinesby the Church was based on three arguments:a eugenic reason, the dissemination of charityand the protection of the family. In general, thedata obtained indicate that family inbreeding inAyamonte was not a deep-rooted practice but acustom practiced by a part of their society
