RT Conference Proceedings T1 Decoherence and quantum quench: their relationship with excited state quantum phase transitions A1 García Ramos, José Enrique A1 Arias Carrasco, José Miguel A1 Cejnar, P. A1 Dukelsky, J. A1 Pérez Fernández, Pedro A1 Relaño Pérez, Armando AB We study the similarities and differences between the phenomena of Quantum Decoherenceand Quantum Quench in presence of an Excited State Quantum Phase Transition (ESQPT).Weanalyze, on one hand, the decoherence induced on a single qubit by the interaction with a two-levelboson system with critical internal dynamics and, on the other, we treat the quantum relaxation processthat follows an abrupt quench in the control parameter of the system Hamiltonian. We explorehow the Quantum Decoherence and the quantum relaxation process are affected by the presence ofan ESQPT. We conclude that the dynamics of the qubit or the quantum relaxation process changedramatically when the system passes through a continuous ESQPT.
