AB This paper examines four Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) B1 level textbooks from different publishersbased on the central-northern peninsular standard, withthe aim of investigating the inclusion of diatopic variation in them. For this purpose, a quantitative analysis wascarried out in which, based on the number of exercisesin each textbook, the percentage of linguistic featuresfrom varieties other than central-northern peninsular ismeasured. Additionally, the percentage of these features is calculated by linguistic level (phonetic-phonological, morphosyntactic, lexical-semantic and pragmatic)and by the skills they are practiced in (reading comprehension, written expression and interaction, listeningcomprehension and oral expression and interaction)or by exercise type. Ultimately, this analysis allows us todeterminate which linguistic features from other varieties are most present in the textbooks, in which communicative language activities they are introduced, aswell as which peripheral variety predominates in eachtextbook
AB En este trabajo se examinan cuatro manuales de español como lengua extranjera (ELE) de nivel B1 de normacentro-norte peninsular pertenecientes a diferentes editoriales con el objetivo de investigar la inclusión de la variación diatópica en ellos. Para esto se ha llevado a caboun análisis cuantitativo en el que, a partir del número deejercicios de cada manual, se mide el porcentaje de aparición de rasgos lingüísticos de variedades diferentes ala centro-norte peninsular; además, se calcula el porcentaje de estos rasgos por niveles lingüísticos (fonético-fonológico, morfosintáctico, léxico-semántico y pragmático) y por destrezas en las que se trabajan (comprensiónescrita, expresión e interacción escritas, comprensiónauditiva y expresión e interacción orales), o bien por tipode ejercicio. En definitiva, este análisis nos permite determinar cuáles son los rasgos lingüísticos pertenecientes a otras variedades que tienen una mayor presenciaen los manuales, en qué actividades comunicativas de lalengua se introducen, así como cuál es la variedad periférica que predomina en cada manual
