T1 Vulnerability and factors determining erosion in the basin o f the river Guadalfeo above the dam at Rules (Granada)

AB The Universal Soil Loss Equation (U.S.L.E.) is used as a criteriaou to measure erosive vulnerability in the basin of the dam at Rules (Granada). The area was discretized by subdivision into 20 hydrologic units.This paper presents a map of vulnerability to erosion. It also considers the main factors determining erosion and possible action to be taken. The conclusions reached might be applicable to other Mediterranean basins of similar geomorphological characteristics and land use (e.g. Adra, Andarax and Almanzora)
