abstract = {Esta tesis trata sobre los mercados de futuros y opciones en productos agrarios y su posibilidad de implantación en España. Con él se pretende dar una visión panorámica de estos mercados realizando un estudio detallado y descripción de los principales contratos derivados agrarios, conceptos y generalidades, orígenes, estructura de los mercados, mecanismos de funcionamiento, agentes, regulación de las operaciones, principales productos subyacentes, funciones económicas, índices de futuros de mercancías, innovaciones, y especialización de los mismos. También se analiza la situación actual de éstos en EE.UU., Europa y resto del mundo, así como del mercado de contado agrario: el sector agrícola, adecuación de productos, normalización existente, incidencia del GAIT y de la reforma de la PAC. Por último, se investigan los productos agrícolas más adecuados para su negociación a futuros, se diseñan los posibles contratos derivados sobre los mismos, se estudian los requisitos legales, servicios, infraestructura necesaria, y pasos a dar para la puesta en marcha de mercados derivados agrarios en nuestro país. Finalmente se destacan las conclusiones más relevantes del trabajo.},
abstract = {This thesis deals with agricultural futures and options markets and their possibte implementation in Spain. Its aim is to provide an overview of these markets, through a detailed study and description of the main agricultural derivative contracts, concepts and generalities, origins, market structure, operating mechanisms, agents, regulation of operations, main underlying products, economic functions, commodity futures indices, innovations and their specialisation. It also analyses the current situation of these markets in the USA, Europe and the rest of the world, as well as the agricultural spot market: the agricultural sector, product adequacy, existing standardisation, the impact of GATT and the reform of the CAP. Finally, the most suitable agricultural products for futures trading are examined, possible derivative contracts on these products are designed, and the legal requirements, servtices, necessary infrastructure and steps to be considered for the implementation of agricultural derivatives markets in our country are studied. Finally, it highlights the main conclusions of the study.},
