AB Se analiza la relación entre la IED, la integración comercial, la actividadeconómica y el bienestar individual de economías representativas de AméricaLatina: Brasil, Chile, Colombia y México. Se utiliza un modelo empírico con datospanel bajo la hipótesis de que la IED puede generar incrementos productivos y elconsiguiente beneficio de la integración a nivel del bienestar individual. Aunquese aporta evidencia para consolidar y fortalecer los procesos de integraciónllevados a cabo, dada la heterogeneidad económica, los resultados obtenidospermiten mostrar la importancia de las medidas de política económica en unaeconomía receptora de IED
AB The relationship between FDI, trade integration, economic activity andindividual well-being of representative economies of Latin America: Brazil,Chile, Colombia and Mexico are analyzed. An empirical model with panel datais used under the hypothesis that FDI can generate productive increases andthe consequent benefit of integration at the level of individual welfare. Althoughevidence is provided to consolidate and strengthen the integration processescarried out, given the economic heterogeneity, the results obtained also showthe importance of economic policy measures in an economy that receives FDI
