T1 Communicative competences and the use of ict for foreing language learning within the european student exchange programme Erasmus

AB This article presents the results from a mainly statistical and comparative analysisregarding the communicative competences and the use of information and communicationtechnologies (ICTs) of German exchange students. The data was extracted from two exhaustive,rigorous and methodical questionnaires related to communicative and ICT competences, which werecompleted by 20 exchange students from the Romanisches Seminar at the University of Bonn,Germany, their native language being German, whilst learning Spanish as a foreign language.Generally, the results confirm that a six-month stay in a foreign country increases the use of ICT andwidely improves language skills, which can also be referred to as communicative competences inSpanish for native speakers of German
