T1 Mercado laboral y cambio de modelo económico : la breve ejecutoria de Sánchez-Terán en el Ministerio de Trabajo (Mayo-Septiembre de 1980)

AB La muerte de Franco abrió un proceso decambio que devolvió la soberanía y libertad alpueblo español. El final de la dictadura hizo posiblela legalización de los partidos, la celebraciónde elecciones, la aprobación de una Constitucióny la descentralización del poder. Ahorabien, comprobamos que, tras cuatro décadas,la Transición ha quedado circunscrita casi exclusivamentea aspectos de política interior.Analizaremos la ejecutoria de Sánchez-Teránal frente del Ministerio de Trabajo con el fin demostrar que los gobiernos centristas, ademásde llevar a cabo el tránsito a la democracia,pusieron en marcha medidas encaminadasa cambiar el modelo económico y laboral delpaís. Todo ello en un contexto de crisis y con lavista puesta la incorporación a la CEE.
AB The death of Franco opened in Spain aprocess of change and freedom to the spaniards.The end of his regime wrought a decisivechanges: the legalization of political parties, thedemocratic elections, the adoption of a Constitutionand the decentralization of power. However,four decades later, the Spanish Transitionhas been estudied exclusively to some issuesrelated to the domestic politics. We analyze theyears of former politician Sánchez-Teran asWork Minister in order to show that the UCDParty that carry out the peaceful transition froman authoritarian regime to a democratic one andimplemented also some programmes to changethe economic model of the country. Above allfirstly, considering a background context on aeconomic crisis, and secondly, with the beginningof the negotiations for the join of Spain tothe so called then Common Market.
