AB La figura de San Sebastián suponeuna de las devociones más arraigadas en elmundo cristiano desde la Alta Edad Media.En este sentido, la popularidad que alcanzóeste santo, le hizo merecedor de numerosospatronazgos y del afecto del pueblo, por loque todo ello se manifestó artísticamenteen numerosas imágenes. El presente trabajopretende analizar las diferentes tallasque surgieron en el entorno granadino,desde finales del siglo XVI hasta mediadosdel XVII, por la mayor calidad plástica delas mismas, además de estar imbuidas porunas connotaciones históricas determinadas,que influyeron en la extensión, poralgunas comarcas, de la devoción a SanSebastián
