RT Journal Article T1 Primer hallazgo de graptolitos oretanienses (Ordovícico Medio) en el Cabo Vidrias (Asturias, extremo noroccidental de la Zona Cantábrica) T1 First record of Oretanian (Middle Ordovician) graptolites from the Vidrias Cape(Asturias, NW Cantabrian Zone, Spain) A1 Bernárdez Rodríguez, Enrique A1 Gutiérrez Marco, Juan Carlos AB The discovery of Didymograptus (Didymograptus) artus Elles and Wood in the Ordovician section ofthe Vidrias Cape (Atlantic coast of Spain), constitutes the first record of early Oretanian (= mid Darriwilian)rocks in the Cantabrian Zone of the Iberian Massif. The fossil locality lies in a shaly intercalation towardsthe middle part of an easternmost equivalent of the «Sabugo Quartzite» of the Navia Domain (WestAsturian-Leonese Zone), so far unknown in the reference section for the Ordovician of the CantabrianZone of the nearby Peñas Cape. Correlations of the studied strata by previous authors are also reviewed, and the existence of a fault is suggested to occur between the «Peñas» and «Vidrias» members of theLuarca Formation on the famous section of the Peñas Cape YR 2009 FD 2009 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7991 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7991 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
