Tomografía eléctrica T1 Characterization of volcanic materials using shallow geophysical techniques: 1. Electrical resistivity imaging A1 Gómez Ortiz, David A1 Martín Crespo, Tomás A1 Martín Velázquez, Silvia A1 Lillo, Francisco Javier A1 López, Iván A1 Carreño, Francisco AB Volcanic deposits and structures are characterized by a high variability in both geometry and physicalproperties. These changes are common not only in a vertical direction but in the horizontal one too. As aresult, the geophysical study of this kind of materials has to be performed using a technique that combinesa good horizontal and vertical resolution. Electrical resistivity imaging has been applied to the study ofthree profiles in different places of Tenerife island. The examples shown in this work are the location oflava tubes, the determination of the depth to the boundary of different lava flows, and the geometry atdepth of a basaltic dyke intruding in pyroclastic deposits. In all the cases, the technique has revealed as auseful tool to determine the geometry and depth of different volcanic materials and therefore, the geophysicalcharacterization of volcanic areas PB Sociedad Geológica de España YR 2005 FD 2005 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8695 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8695 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 30 may 2026
