T1 Petrological and geochemical characterization of the Messinian Saline Unit in Lorca basin (boreholes S4 and S5)

AB The mineralogical, petrological and geochemical characteristics of this saline unit indicate that the halite sedimentation took place in a subsiding shallow marine basin where contributions of continental and minor hydrothermal waters were available. Starting from the bromine distribution and fluid inclusions composition in the halite samples a correlation of both boreholes is proposed
