AB In this paper we describe the accession of Australia to the OECD, discussingbriefly some of the reasons for its reluctance to join the Organisation. We thenassess both the significance of the OECD for Australia and the contributionAustralia has made to the evolution of the Organisation, including its role inbudgetary reform in the past decade.
AB En este trabajo se describe la adhesión de Australia a la OCDE y seexaminan algunas de las razones de su reticencia a integrarse en la organización.Finalmente, se evalúa tanto la relevancia de la OCDE para Australia como lacontribución que ha hecho Australia a la evolución de la organización, incluidosu papel en la reforma presupuestaria de la última década.
