AB Las Zonas Externas de la Cordillera Bética están afectadas por una deformaciónextensional de carácter dúctil-frágil posterior a la estructuracióncompresiva de vergencia NW. La dirección de extensión está en un rangoentre WSW yWNW. Esta extensión es la responsable de la destrucción parcialdel prisma acrecional externo, de edad Serravalliense-Tortoniense Inferior,al S del Arco de Cazorla, y es coetánea a la denudación tectónica de lasZonas Internas de la Cordillera. La ruptura de este prisma permite la fragmentacióny deriva extensional hacia elW de los dominios Subbético y Prebéticoa altas tasas de desplazamiento
AB The External Zones of the Betic Cordillera are affected by extensionalductile-brittle deformation after the NW verging compressive phase. The preferreddirection of extension is between WSW and WNW. South to the CazorlaArc, this extensional phase is responsible of the partial destruction ofthe Serravallian-Lower Tortonian external accretionary prism coevally withthe tectonic denudation of the Internal Zones. The rupture of this accretionaryprism allows the fragmentation and extensional migration to the W of theSubbetic and Prebetic domains, which was produced by a high rate of displacement
