T1 The influence of Rousseau, Marat and Robespierre’sthinking on the intellectual, ideological and legalfundamentals of the French Revolutionary Terror

AB This article tries to elucidate which could be the influenceof Rousseau and Montesquieu works in the practice policy of Frenchlegislative assembly, trying to connect this activity with the genesisand further development of the French Revolutionary Terror. After it,the paper discusses some aspects of the Marat’s writings as apossible father of the theory of the insurrectionary and revolutionaryviolence. Finally, it examines the influence of Robespierre intranslating the illustrated ideas about the Theory of Terror as afoundation for Law, stating how the incorruptible left settled thedoctrinal foundations for later forms of State Terror.
AB El presente artículo trata de dilucidar cual pudo ser lainfluencia de las obras Rousseau y Montesquieu en la práctica políticade la asamblea legislativa francesa, conectando dicha actividadcon la génesis y el posterior desarrollo del Terror RevolucionarioFrancés. Posteriormente el estudio analiza algunos aspectos de laobra de Marat como posible padre de la teoría de la violencia insurreccional revolucionaria. Finalmente se examina el influjo deRobespierre en la traslación de las ideas ilustradas a la Teoría delTerror como fundamento de la ley, exponiendo como el incorruptibledejó asentadas de ese modo las bases doctrinales para las posterioresformas de Terror de Estado.
