AB Analizamos en este artículo los distintos significados de las fortificacionesen el contexto de los señoríos onubenses entre los siglos XIIIy XV. Interesa especialmente observar el uso que de ellas se hace en elmomento de concesión de los señoríos, así como su valor estratégico enlas tensiones y disputas territoriales, sin olvidar los aspectos simbólicosy de representación del poder.
AB In this article we offer the analysis of the different meanings of thefortifications in the lordships of Huelva between the thirteenth and thefifteenth centuries. It is specially interesting to observe how they wereused when the lordships were granted, as well as their strategic valuewhen tensions and territorial disputes arose, without forgetting the symbolicaspects and those concerning the representation of the power.
