RT Journal Article T1 Presencia de Mammuthus sp. en Caravaca (Murcia) T1 Presence of Mammuthus sp. from Caravaca (Murcia) A1 Mancheño, Miguel Ángel A1 Romero, G. A1 Carlos Calero, J. A. A1 Ros Montoya, Sergio A1 Rodríguez Estrella, Tomás A1 Robles, Fernando AB In Rambla del Pizcalejo (Caravaca, Murcia, Spain) new Proboscidea fossil remains were found. In this paper aredescribed all postcranial bones belonging to a 2-4 years old Mammuthus.Stratigraphycal and mollusc data confirm the lacustrine paleoenvironment. The remains shouldn’t have suffereda hard transport; neither should their time of exposure have been long. The date of the remains is not precise due to the lack of chronostratigraphic and biostratigraphic data. It is onlythe assignment of the remains to the genus Mammuthus that allows to surmise a period about Plio-Pleistocene YR 2006 FD 2006 LK http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8618 UL http://hdl.handle.net/10272/8618 LA spa DS Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad de Huelva RD 31 may 2026
