AB En la cadena de comunicación de la ciencia y latransmisión del conocimiento científico, los científicosconstituyen un importante eslabón. Sin embargo,no abundan los trabajos que aborden aspectosrelacionados con el papel de la comunidad científicaen la divulgación de la ciencia, sus patronesde comunicación con la ciudadanía o sus pautas decomportamiento y motivaciones a la hora de participaren actividades divulgativas. Mi opinión es quelos realizados hasta el momento se centran, fundamentalmente,en el estudio del papel de los distintosestamentos y en profesionales, promotores ytransmisores involucrados en las tareas de divulgacióncientífica.Con esta aportación pretendo acercar las matemáticasa un tema que la mayoría de las personas nopueden imaginarse: la enología. Mostraré solo unapincelada en la que, gracias a las diversas aplicacionesde las matemáticas, han comenzado a pensar enlas matemáticas no como un tema árido solo asequiblepara los matemáticos, sino como una herramientabásica y fundamental que todo el mundo deberíacomprender tanto como pueda, porque las matemáticaspueden ayudar a esculpir y modelar casi todo,también en muchos aspectos relacionados con labebida más importante del mundo antiguo: el vino.
AB In the chain of communication of science and thetransmission of scientific knowledge, scientists constitutean important link. However, there are notmany works that address aspects related to the roleof the scientific community in the dissemination ofscience, its patterns of communication with the public,or its patterns of behavior and motivations whenparticipating in dissemination activities. My opinionis that those carried out so far are focused, fundamentally,on the study of the role of the different estatesand on professionals, promoters and transmitters,involved in the tasks of scientific dissemination.With this contribution I intend to bring Mathematicscloser to a subject that most people cannotimagine, Oenology. I will show just a brushstroke inwhich, thanks to the various applications of mathematics,they have begun to think of mathematicsnot only as a dry subject, only accessible to mathematicians,but as a basic and fundamental tool thateveryone should understand, as much as you can,because mathematics can help sculpt and model almosteverything, also in many aspects related to themost important drink of the ancient world, wine.
