AB Con la investigación doctoral titulada Respuestas educativas del profesorado en la Escuela de SegundaOportunidad. Estudio de casos. Hemos tratado de conocer las respuestas educativas que el profesorado despliega en lasEscuelas de Segunda Oportunidad a través de un estudio de caso focalizado en un centro de Huelva, pero cuyasconclusiones podrían ser extensibles a otros centros de similares características. Para ello, hemos compendiado un modelode atención educativa que se pone en práctica con un alumnado caracterizado por una trayectoria de fracaso escolar y elriesgo de exclusión social. En nuestro estudio, hemos recopilado y definido buenas prácticas docentes enfatizando enaquellas que en este centro en concreto están obteniendo unos resultados positivos y han atraído de nuevo al sistemaeducativo a chicos y chicas que lo habían abandonado o al menos lo percibían con grandes dosis de escepticismo,consiguiendo que no renuncien, que se den una segunda oportunidad y que encuentren una motivación que les abranuevos horizontes y expectativas personales y educativas.Hemos intentado emplear las técnicas apropiadas para la descripción objetiva, sistemática y cualitativa del contenidomanifiesto o implícito de los datos aportados por el profesorado, buscando la manera más directa de saber qué hacen ycómo lo hacen para reenganchar, motivar y enseñar a este alumnado.De esta forma, y gracias al trabajo de campo de este estudio y a lo que nos han contado sus auténticos protagonistas,hemos podido profundizar en la realidad del fracaso escolar en Secundaria y en contextos de exclusión social, y comprobarde primera mano cuáles son los problemas más comúnmente encontrados y las formas de afrontarlos.
AB With doctoral research Educational Responses of teachers in the Second Chance School. Cases study. We have tried toget to know the educational responses deployed by the teachers in the Second Chance Schools through a case studyfocused on an education center of Huelva, but whose conclusions may be applicable too ther schools with similarcharacteristics. To achieve that, we have summarized a model of educational attention that isused with pupilscharacterized by a trajectory of school failure and risk of social exclusion. In our study, we have compiled and defined goodteaching practices emphasizing those that in this particular education center are obtaining a few positive results and areattracting again to the educational system boys and girls who had left it or at least they were perceiving it with big doses ofskepticism, achieving that they do not resign, that they give thems elves a second opportunity and that they find amotivation that opens to them new horizons and personal and educational expectations.We have tried to employ the appropriate techniques for the objective, systematic and quantitative description of theexplicitor implicit data provided by the teachers, looking for the most direct way of knowing what they do and how they doto reincorporate, motivate and teach these students.Thus, thanks to the field work of this study and tow hat the main people involved have told us, we have been able to delvedeeper into the reality of academic failure in Secondary education and in contexts of social exclusion, and see first-handwhich problems are most commonly encountered and the way to confront them.
