T1 El relleno sedimentario holoceno de la marisma de Txipio (Plentzia-Barrika, Vizcaya): registro de los cambios ambientales en el estuario del Butroe durante los últimos 8.500 años

AB Se han perforado por rotación 8 sondeos hasta alcanzar el sustrato precuaternarioen la marisma de Txipio (Estuario del Butroe, Vizcaya) con elobjetivo de reconstruir su proceso de transformación ambiental durante elHoloceno. Se ha realizado un análisis micropaleontológico (foraminíferosbentónicos), sedimentológico (tamaño de grano) y geoquímico (datacionescarbono-14) de sus materiales. A partir de los resultados obtenidos y de sucomparación con información previamente publicada para otros estuariosde la costa cantábrica oriental, se ha interpretado la evolución ambientalholocena de los diferentes medios sedimentarios identificados en funciónde la variación del nivel marino relativo. El nivel marino muestra un ascensoprogresivo hasta los 3.000 años cal BP, seguido por una estabilización desdeentonces hasta la ocupación humana de esta marisma durante la segundamitad del siglo XIX
AB Eight boreholes were drilled in the Txipio salt marsh (Butroe estuary,Biscay) using a rotary drill down to the pre-Quaternary basement in order toreconstruct its environmental transformation process during the Holocene.Micropalaeontological (benthic foraminifera), sedimentological (grain size)and geochemical (carbon-14 dating) analyses were performed on these materials.Based on the obtained results and by comparison with previously publishedinformation for other estuaries of the eastern Cantabrian coast, theHolocene environmental evolution of the different sedimentary environmentsidentified has been interpreted as the result of relative sea-level variation. Sealevel exhibits a progressive rise until 3000 cal yrs BP, followed by a stabilizationsince then until human reclamation of this salt marsh during the secondpart of the 19th century
