AB Este artículo pretende reflexionar sobre el ascenso de un nuevotipo de protesta social en Brasil, entre los años 2013 y 2014. Desde lasredes sociales, millares de personas empezaron a movilizarse en todo elpaís. Los activistas utilizaron ampliamente internet y, principalmente, lasredes sociales como forma de organización, movilización y protesta. Crearoncolectivos de media activistas, produjeron fotos, textos, videos y documentalesde las movilizaciones, asambleas y ocupaciones vía Internet.Muchas veces en vivo y directo. Para analizar el fenómeno, utilizamos uncruce de metodologías, partiendo del análisis cronológico, entrevistas enprofundidad, observación participativa y datos masivos de redes sociales.Los video activistas brasileños consiguieron contraponer al discurso oficialde los grandes medios de comunicación otra narrativa, creando una nuevaforma de protestas
AB This article aim to reflect about the raising of a new kind of socialprotest, in Brazil between 2013 and 2014. Thousands of people began toorganise all over the country using social networks. Activist made full useof the internet and especially the social networks as a form of organisation,mobilization and protest. They created collectives of media activists andused the internet as a vehicle for the photos, texts, videos and documentariesof the mobizations, assemblies and occupations they produced. Thiswas often live coverage. In order to analyses the phenomenon, we haveused a mixed methodologies, starting from a chronological analyses, indepthinterviews, participative observation and big data from social network.In this way the video activists managed to counter the official discourse ofbig media, imposing another narrative, creating new ways to protest, protectthemselves and denounce police violence
