Theobjectives of our study are to measure the presence of large Spanish companies in theseonline social networks and the importance companies give to the use of such systemsand to determine the link between the attitudes of companies towards technology andthe adoption of online social networking in their businesses. To do this, we surveyed 99Spanish companies whose turnover was among the highest in their respective economicsectors, and we carried out a descriptive analysis of the association of variables usingthe Chi-squared independence test. The results show that the presence of large Spanishcompanies in online social networks is scant, however, the results emphasize theimportance that such enterprises give to information technology, information systemsand a future presence on online social networks.
