RT Journal Article T1 Hardgrounds a techo de ciclos de somerización y ralentización en una rampa carbonatada del Lías de Asturias A1 Valenzuela, M. A1 García Ramos, José Carlos A1 Suárez de Centi, C. AB Marl-limestone rhythmic successions are common in the Liassic sections along a part of the Asturian coast (N Spain). The Upper Sinemurian nodular beds show several hardground levels capping asymmetric aggradationa/ cycles (parasequences) which are interpreted to represent shallowing upwards and decreasing sedimentation rate processes controlled by local tectonics and eustatic changes superimposed to a general regressive trend associated to regional tectonics. On the high energy submarine shoa/s created probably by small fault-associated salt domes, the hardgrounds attain their optimum development.
