The first age data obtained situate the intrusion episodes coinciding in time with the extrusion of the Old Basalts. The earlier dykes show a radial pattern, centred in Tamargada. They have been dated in 8.0 Ma and 7.9 Ma. The conical swarm centred farther west, in Vallehermoso, has a slightly more recent age, between 7.5 Ma and 6.4 Ma.
