The lower part of the succession shows terrigenous deposits (the Peñaferruz Fm) recording fluvial and fan-deltaic sedimentation, while the upper part is characterized by shallow-water carbonates (the Antromero Fm) covering a broad carbonate platform environments from restricted to open marine zones. Fossil associations had been very helpful in order to interpret the main environmental featuresspaAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 3.0 Españahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Shallow carbonate platformLower CretaceousRudistsAsturiasSedimentología y caracterización paleoambiental de la serie cretácica inferior de Antromero-Luanco (Asturias)Sedimentology and paleoenvironmental features of the Antromero-Luanco Lower Cretaceous succession (Asturias, north of Spain)journal articleopen access
