Physical Review C. ISSN 0556-28130556-28131089-490X (electrónico)http://hdl.handle.net/10272/7774The evolution of the total energy surface and the nuclear shape in the isotopic chain 172-194Pt are studied in the framework of the interacting boson model, including configuration mixing. The results are compared with a self-consistent Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculation using the Gogny-D1S interaction and a good agreement between both approaches shows up. The evolution of the deformation parameters points towards the presence of two different coexisting configurations in the region 176 <= A <= 186.engAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 3.0 Españahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Pt isotopesShape coexistenceIntruder statesGogny-D1SShape evolution and shape coexistence in Pt isotopes: comparing interacting boson model configuration mixing and Gogny mean-field energy surfacesjournal article10.1103/PhysRevC.89.034313open access
