Owing to their morphology, the footprints are assigned to Equoidea and referred to Piagiolophustipus. It represents the second finding of this ichnogenus in the Fossil Record known. The footprints occur on sandstone beds of the Lower member of the Mués Formation of Oligocene (Stampien ?) age.
