The sedimentological, paleontological, and taphonomic changes, suggest a progressive phenomenon of upward regression, in a carbonate-detrital ramp context. Deposition begins with outer shelf sandy marls which change to calcarenites interpreted as inner shelf submareal bars and belong to the Foramol assemblage.
