El seguimiento que el municipio de Hinojos hizo de la doctrina higiénica es lo que nos atañe en este trabajo, pues detallamos el contenido de las ordenanzas municipales de este pueblo en lo que respecta a dicho tema. El objetivo fundamental de estas ordenanzas era acabar con enfermedades epidémicas causadas por la insalubridad o la malnutrición, como la fiebre tifoidea o el cólera. Estas ordenanzas consistieron en la aplicación de normativas como el alejamiento de mataderos del núcleo poblacional, la creación de un sistema mecánico de abastecimiento de agua potable abundante, el seguimiento de una serie de normas de limpieza en los establecimientos públicos o la vigilancia de ciertos fraudes, como la adulteración alimentaria o el intrusismo en las profesiones sanitariaThe period between the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century stands out for the beginning and development of hygienism in Spain, which gives great importance to the health and living conditions of the populations. The follow-up that the municipality of Hinojos made of the hygienic doctrine is what concerns us in this work, because we detail the content of the municipal ordinances of this town in regard to this subject.
