Small-size sponge buildups and poorly sorted sponge and ammonite wackestone facies were developed in open platform areas, whereas grain-supported, bioclastic and tuberolitic packstone facies, accumulated in the shallower and waved areas of the platform. The basin was mainly open to the East as shown by both the submesogean affinity of the recorded ammonite associations and the facies distribution of the platform.spaAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 3.0 Españahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/Sponge faciesBajocianBasc-Cantabrian RangeLas calizas con esponjas del Bajociense de la Cordillera Vasco-Cantábrica oriental (Navarra)The Bajocian sponge limestones ofthe eastern Basc-Cantabrían Range (Navarra)journal articleopen access
