A longshore submarine sand, bar built by theTordera river output is 6 km long and progressively deepens to 8 m depth. Four littoral bar systems have been generated at decresing depths following the sea level rise from the shelf. These sand bodies are generated by quite different processes: littoral drift; reflective storm waves and rip currents.
