A detailed analysis of the section outcropping between Cuillas del Valle and Olleros de Paredes Rubias, has revealed fades which can be attributed to transitional continental-marine enviroments. These are horizontally bedded sandstones with oscillation ripples (lagoon and shoreface), and cross-stratified sandstones with backset laminae (tidal). Other cross-stratified sandstones (fluvial channels), laminated lutites (alluvial coastal plain), bivalve sandstones (tidal ?) and lutites with leaves (marsh), make up contemporaneously-related subenvironments. Storm wave action prevailed during the filling of a narrow erosional depression, and tidal action accompanied the later establishment of valleywide sedimentary conditionsspaAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 3.0 Españahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/LittoralTidal faciesValley fillUpper AlbianOllerosLa LoraDepósitos de transgresión marina del Albiense superior en la serie terrígena del Páramo de la Lora (vertiente norte, Cantabria y Palencia)Upper Albian Transgressive marine deposits in the terrigenous series of the "Páramo de la Lora" (northern side, Cantabria and Palencia, Spain)journal articleopen access
