Proenza, Joaquín A.Melgarejo i Draper, J. The ore bodies are crosscuted by veins, filled up by uvarovite with variable amounts of chromiferous clinochlore , calcite, titanite and rutile. Garnets are zoned and display a broad composition comprised between uvarovite and grossular end members. Their andradite content is very low. These garnets were formed by hydrothermal circulation during late episodes of ophiolite emplacement.spaAtribución-NoComercial-SinDerivadas 3.0 Españahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/CubaUvaroviteGrossularMicroprobeHydrothermalOphioliteZoningGranates de la serie Grosularia-uvarovita en cromititas prodiformes del yacimiento Mercedita (Cuba)Grossular-uvarovite garnets in podiform chromitite from Mercedita deposit (Cuba)journal articleopen access
